OBITUARY:
MRS. BONEBRAKE PASSES SUNDAY - Aged Resident Dies After Extended Illness - Burial on Wednesday.
MRS. ELIZABETH STONER BONEBRAKE, 82 years old, died Sunday morning at the home of her son, H. Edward Bonebrake, 306 Fairview Avenue, where she resided since April 1. Although Mrs. Bonebrake had not been in perfect health for many years, the direct cause of her death was paralysis, with which she was stricken April 25.
Mrs. Bonebrake was the daughter of Abram and Susan Stoner and the widow of the late Lewis Bonebrake.
She was born March 12, 1839, east of Waynesboro at Cress station is where she grew to womanhood.
She was the last surviving member of the Stoner family and all of her four-score, and two years were lived in the vicinity of her childhood.
After eighty-two years of rural life, she with her son, and two daughters, on April first last, moved to Waynesboro, locating at 306 Fairview Avenue.
She was a devoted mother, a Christian woman of gentle and kindly disposition and a consistent member of the Church of the Brethren.
Her eight children surviving her are, Mrs. C. R. Oellig, Alfred S. Bonebrake, Mrs. Daniel Hess, Mrs. Joseph Snively and Mrs. D. F. Good, all of Waynesboro and vicinity: H. Edward and Misses Elizabeth and Lela at home. There are twenty-three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at the home, corner of Cleveland and Fairview Avenue. Interment in Green Hill cemetery.
Relatives and friends attend without further notice. Please omit flowers.
