Joveda Jackson

On December 31, 2002, Joveda Jackson's heart was gently passed from the tender, caring hands of the staff at Woldenberg Village Nursing Home into the hands of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Joveda was born September 30, 1922 in Roby, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Eldon Roland 'Pug' Jackson, her parents (Francis Lafayette and Wilma Jean Cardwell Elam), two brothers, Robert Elam and Henry Hollowell, and her sister, Ina Faye Brazeale.

She had lived in the area for the past forty years and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was a member of the Oakwood Mall Walkers Club and will be missed by her friends and loved ones.

Joveda leaves to cherish her memory:

Sister, Doris Orton and her husband, Dean of Laguna Park, Texas;

Daughters, Bobbie Bostick And her husband Bill, of Gretna; and Yetta Bolotte of Belle Chasse;

Grandchildren, Beaann Cox and her husband Mike of Golden Meadow; Richard Bostick and his wife, Dianna Of Topsham, Maine; Candy Walsh and her husband, Barry of Covington; Stephanie Bourgeois and her husband, Steve of Gretna; and Cody Bolotte of Belle Chasse;

Great-grandchildren, Amanda Cox; Jessica Mayet and her husband, Zach; Christopher Bostick; Michael Bostick; Nicole Walsh; Bradley Walsh; and Sydney Bourgeois.

Visitation will be at Mothe Funeral Home, Harvey, La. from 6:00 P.M. To 9:00 P.M. Thursday, January 2 and from 9:30 A.M. To 10:30 A.M. Friday, January 3.

Services will be held at Mothe Funeral Home, Harvey, La. at 10:30 A.M. Friday, January 3. Interment will be at Westlawn Cemetery in Gretna.
