Oscar was murdered and is buried in McKinney Cemetery, McKinney, Ky. (Note, per Dolores Bohn: My Uncle & Aunt told me that it was a dispute over his pigs getting in someone's corn.) My Grandmother, Eva Oscar "Sis" (Smith) Atkins Upton, was only 11 months old when Oscar died.
*Note, per D. Bohn: His 1st cousin, Zora Porter Smith, who is a son of Christopher Coffey "Crit" Smith, is buried beside him. Crit is a brother of Oscar's father, Newton Jasper Smith.
