Mrs. Nancy Clark, 82, Dies After Long Illness
Mrs. Nancy Clark, 82, of 2612 Hale, resident here for 51 years, died in a hospital Friday afternoon, after an illness of eight years.
Mrs. Clark, a native of Tennessee, was brought to Gainesville in a covered wagon around 1875. She lived there until she moved to Fort Worth in 1904.
Mrs. Clark was the widow of N.D. Clark, cattle buyer here. He died in 1927.
She was a charter member of Diamond Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors are five daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Dickey, Mrs. Tom Chapman, Mrs. Sam DeLong and Mrs. Carl Hayden, all of Fort Worth, and Mrs. Lee Roberts of California, a son, Worth D. Clark of Palestine, Texas; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Diamond Hill Baptist Church with burial in Mount Olivet. Lucas is in charge of arrangements.
