Mrs. Robert Arbuckle
Dies of Heart Attack

Ethel May Arbuckle, wife of Robert Arbuckle, died suddenly last Wednesday night, August 31, at their home in Sherman township. She was born December 13, 1891, and was the youngest of three children born to Mr. and Mrs. Emanuel Reitz, then living in Cass county.

The family came to Gladwin county in the spring of 1904. She was married to Robert Arbuckle April 24, 1907, and to this union were born five children.

Mrs. Arbuckle was a home body, always trying to make a home where one might wish to be. She had been in poor health for a long time past, and Wednesday suffered a heart attack while in Gladwin. During the night she was suddenly taken worse and died before help could be summoned.

She leaves to mourn, her husband, Robert Arbuckle; three sons and two daughters, Mrs. Edith Whitney of Breckenridge, Ray of Gladwin, Lester, Audrey and Eldon at home; an aged father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Emanuel Reitz of Gladwin township; two sisters, Mrs. W. E. Koons of Iron River and Mrs. William Diffin of Clio; six grandchildren, besides other relatives and a host of friends.

Services were conducted at the Skeels Baptist church by Rev. A. J. Hoolsema Saturday afternoon, September 3, at 2:30, with interment at the Sherman cemetery. Gladwin County Record dated 9-7/1938 Column - 6 Page - 1
