Johann Christian Dracker/Trauger was born on or before March 30, 1728, in Bickenbach, Hesse-Darmstadt, Germany, the son of Johann Adam Dracker and his wife Maria Catherina. He immigrated to America arriving in Philadelphia on October 9, 1747 aboard the ship "Restoration." He fought in the American Revolution. He served in the Nockamixon Company under Captain Jacob Shoope. Circa 1750, he married his wife, Anna Barbara, who was allegedly a Stein by birth. Some researchers have her maiden name as Lumborn or Lamborn, but I believe this was confused with their daughter, Elizabeth Barbara Trauger Laubenstein. Christian and Anna Barbara were the parents of 10 children: Anna Barbara, John, Ludwig William, Elizabeth Barbara, Christopher, Philip, Catharina, John Frederick, Anna Maria and John Christian Trauger. Christian passed away January 11, 1811, in Nockamixon Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, and was buried in St. Luke's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Ferndale, Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
