Johney "Rex" Worsham, 89, died at 5 p.m. Monday in Lakeland Specialty Hospital, Berrien Center.

He was born on Jan. 17, 1918, in Viola, Arkansas, to James and Rebecca Worsham, who both have preceded him in death.
He also was preceded in death by a son, Billy Joe Worsham; a stepfather, Huey Hunt, and by 10 brothers and sisters.
On December 28, 1951, in Swifton, Arkansas, he married Ruthie Jewell (Templeton) Worsham.

Survivors include his wife, Ruthie J. (Templeton); sons, Dennis (Dawn) of Newport News, VA, and Terry of Buchanan; sisters, Jewell Tucker of Brutus, MI, and Pauline Tucker of Noble, OK; grandchildren, Gillian Most and Todd Worsham; and great-grandchildren, Annabelle and Owen Tytler.

He was a longtime member of Buchanan Christian Church and was a World War II Army veteran.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Buchanan Christian Church, with Pastor Dennis Worsham officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Hoven Funeral Home. Burial will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
