Son of CSA veteren Richard John Boatright and wife Amy Howard. Born and raised on his parents farm near Dicksons Mill (Mershon) in rural Pierce County, GA. A life long farmer by trade. Married Nolie Bratcher 19 November 1893 in Pierce County, married 19 years, issue; 9 children. Photo circa 1914 provided by Paula Boatright Bojsen, great granddaughter of Simon Peter Boatright shows Simon Peter and the couple's 9 children. After Nolie's death Simon Peter married Lizzie Hurst 27 December 1914, they were married 22 years.
