Mrs. Schroeder was born December 11, 1923, at Wilder, Idaho to Bert and Katie Mae Garlick. She was raised and educated in Wilder and graduated from Wilder High School. She married Henry J. "Larry" Schroeder May 22, 1941, at Caldwell, Idaho. Together they lived at Jerome, Meridian, and Othello, Washington, before moving to Caldwell in 9163 where they owned and operated Lake Lowell Service until the late 1960s when they started farming and raising sweet corn.
Betty enjoyed cooking and homemaking. She was best known for her cinnamon rolls, peanut brittle and family dinners. She will be missed by her family and friends. She had a great love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include 2 sisters, Gladys Allison and Wilma Benham of Caldwell; a son and daughter-in-law; 2 daughters and a son-in-law; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Henry J. and nine brothers and sisters. Friends may call at the Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell, today from 5 to 8 p.m.
