Roscoe A. Freeley.
The funeral of Roscoe A. Freeley was held from his late home. 1306 Maple street, Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock, the Rev. C. R. Germain, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church officiating. The floral offerings were many and beautiful. Among them was a pillow from the Painters Union No. 69, a pillow marked Father, a plaque from Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Henry, a wreath from his young men friends and a set piece from the brothers and sisters. Members of the Local Painters Union No 69 acted AS bearers. Internment was made in the family plot in Forest Hill Cemetery.

MONDAY EVENING, OCTOBER 14, 1918.
Roscoe Adam Freeley of 1306 Maple Street died last evening at his home after a two week illness of Spanish Influenza and Pneumonia. He had been seriously ill only a few days however.
Mr. Freeley was 39 years old and was born in Jordanville, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Freeley, who are both living in Utica. About 20 years ago he came to Utica and was educated in the public schools. He married Margaret Hornick of Babcock Hill, Oneida County 17 years ago. Mr. Freeley worked practically all his life at the trade of paperhanger and painter. He was a member of the Church of the holy Communion. Mr. Freeley had many friends who will learn with deep sorrow of his death. Besides his parents and wife he leaves one son, Roscoe aged 14 and one daughter, Margaret aged 13; three sisters; Mrs. Albert Morehead and Mrs. Carl Rohm both of Utica and Mrs. Clifton Lloyd of Herkimer, and two brothers, Earl and Harry of Utica.
