Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday at White's Funeral Home. Burial: Azleland Cemetery in Reno, Texas. Visitation: 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday until service time at the funeral home.
Leroy Ben Steel Sr. was born Jan. 20, 1928, in Ryan, Okla.
He had been an Azle resident since he moved from Fort Worth in 1954. He retired from the General Dynamics shipping and receiving department in 1983. He married Ruby Mae Burch in 1946 and was a Pentecostal.
Mr. Steel was preceded in death by his grandson, Danny Carl Steel Jr., in 1988.
Survivors: Wife, Ruby Steel of Azle; sons, Leroy Ben Steel Jr. of Weatherford and Danny Carl Steel Sr. of Azle; daughters, Yolanda Sue Fratzke of Azle and Janice L. Dalrymple of Syracuse, Kan.; sister, Nellie Cowden of Lake Worth; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
