Aunt Mollie Dies At Mt. Blanchard
Hancock county has lost one of its oldest pioneers in the death of Mrs. Mollie Cook, who passed away Friday afternoon at 4 o'clock at her home in Mt. Blanchard. She was eighty-four years of age and had lived in Mt. Blanchard and vicinity all her life. Five children survive. They are Squire Hammond of Mt. Blanchard; Scott Hammond of near Vanlue; Mrs. John Long of Vanlue; Mrs. Chesbro of Carey, and Mrs. Preddy wife of the Rev. Preddy. Mrs. Cook was one of the very few native born residents of Hancock county who had lived more than the allotted three score and ten years in her native country. She was a member of the M.P. church.
