Dudley G. Fowler Dies at Home New Year's Day

Funeral services for Dudley G. Fowler were held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the First Baptist Church in Newlin. Services were conducted by Minister Fran E. Chism. Interment was in the Newlin cemetery under the direction of the Womack Funeral Home.

Mr. Fowler died New Year's Day at his home in Memphis. He was a retired farmer.

Dudley G. Fowler was born December 10, 1863, in Arkansas. He was married to Mattie Jane Johnson in 1890, and had been a member of the Church of Christ since that year. He had been a resident of Hall County since 1920.

Mr. Fowler is survived by his wife; four sons, W.C. Fowler and C.C. Fowler of Valliant, Okla., Claude and Loyd Fowler of Newlin; and 19 grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Jack Brumley, P.F. Gardenshire, Louie Richards, Milton Ellis, Ray Fowler, and Vernon Fowler.

Flower bearers were Louise Ellis, Gertrude Fowler, Ima Brumley, Gwinn Fowler, and Jo Fowler.
