The Angels arrived on January 5, 2010 to return Lessie to be with her Lord and loved ones. She was 98 years of age.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Oak Grove Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. David Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at LaFayette Memorial Park in Fayetteville.
She was born on July 12, 1911 to the late John E. and Mary Ellen Bunce Hubbard. She is preceded in death by her husband, Julius and a son, Irvin. She was the last of five brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by: her granddaughter, Jennifer Guy Ivarsson and husband, John; great grandsons, Christian and John of Apex; a daughter-in-law, Betty Guy; her beloved nephew, Charles; and several nieces and nephews.
Nephews of Mrs. Guy will serve as pallbearers: Granger, Leonard and Laurice Hubbard, Todd Mobley, Preston Green and David B. Hubbard.
