Influenza – pneumonia claimed another victim in our village Wednesday morning at 5 o'clock, when Mrs. Gustave Wagenknecht succumbed to the disease after ten days' illness.

The deceased, nee Lydia Strassburger, was born in the town of Herman, Sheboygan County, May 7th, 1884. She was united in marriage to Gustave Wagenknecht, Feb. 18, 1903, and lived with her husband and family in Kiel since that time.

Five children, two sons and three daughters, were born of the union who, with the bereaved father mourn her untimely death. Besides the family she leaves two sisters, Mrs. Jacob Spindler and Mrs. Frank Jaschob, two stepbrothers, Paul and Martin Kircher and her step-father, Carl Kircher.

The funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with interment in the Kiel cemetery. Rev. Rech will officiate. The death of Mrs. Wagenknect is a particularly sad one, and the bereaved family has the sympathy of relatives and friends.
