Charles Frederick (Fred) Nintle, 87, Fairfield R. 1, who had served as a Hamiltonban Twp. supervisor for 25 years, died Sunday afternoon at 4:45 at the Warner Hospital.

A native of Adams County, was a son of the late Charles F. and Margaret A. (Kint) Nintle, and had been a lumberman all his life. He was a member of the Fairfied Fire Co. and the Adams County Volunteer Firemen.

Surviving are his wife, the former Dora Kauffman; a daughter, Mrs. Charles D. Bowmaster, Orrtanna R. 1; a son, Glenn W. Nintle, Fairfield R. 1; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a stepbrother, Frank Daywalt, Fairfield R. 1.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Wilson Funeral Home, Fairfield, with Rev. Dale Miller, pastor of Mt. Hope United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Fairfield Union Cemetery.
