Jean Mary Adams was the third daughter of Joseph and Bridgetta Strik. She was born in Corcoran, Ca. .
The family moved to Fresno where Jean and her four sisters were raised.
Jean married L.J. "Polly" Adams on January 30, 1936, and moved to the Wildflower area where they raised their family.
She was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Emily Forbes; her husband Polly; and all four sisters.
Jean is survived by their daughters, Barbara Boos and her husband Howard, Ginger Cooper and her husband Delbert, Pat Spears and her husband Ray, and Jackie Gaylord and her husband Ed; a son, Dick Adams and his wife Janet; 17 grandchildren; 41 greatgrandchildren; and 16 great-great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Isabel Raven and Marian Adams; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Laton, Ca. on Thursday January 7, 2010, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. followed by Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Laton on Friday, January 8, 2010, at 10:00 a.m.
Interment at Oakgrove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.
