Walter V Moreland, 65, janitor at the Breckenridge City Hall since 1938 died following an illness for three months, seriously ill for two days.

Moreland lived at 908 North Court Street where he moved in 1933. He moved to Stephens County near Crystal Falls in 1896.

Services were held at the First Baptist Church with Rev. A.J. Morgan, mayor of Breckenridge officiating.

Survived by his wife; three daughters - Mrs. Alex Saberry and Mrs. Stanley Boggs, both of Holliday, Mrs. Harold Black of Corpus Christi; eight grandchildren; two sisters.

Pallbearers were George Bingham, E.L. Russell, Homer Weatherford, Ollie Jackson, I.A. Putman and E.R. McCathren.
