Mr. Gleason was born August 11 1933. in Oronoque. Kan., and was raised in Medford. He served in the Army and moved in 1962 to Portland, where he worked for PacifiCorp for 44 years retiring as director of taxes. He was a member of the church and teacher and superintendent of the Sunday school. He moved in November to Greenville S.C. in 1956. He married Ruth Louise Powell.
Survivors include his wife, daughters, Deborah Maehler and Karen McKinney, sons Rev. Jon and David, sisters Marjorie Peterson, Lorraine Benson, brothers Royal, Alfred, and Vernon and 14 grandchildren.
His son Ted M. died in infancy.
