Born April 27, 1944, in Brookville, she was a daughter of Marvin C. and Grace (Evans) Miller.
Mrs. James was a housewife.
She was a member of the Carwick Wesleyan Methodist Church, where she played piano and helped with the "Relief Time" Bible school program.
She was married Oct. 12, 1968, to James R. James, who survives.
Survivors also include two sons and their wives, Jesse R. and Suzann James of Leeper and Jamie M. and Renee James of Monaca; her father, Marvin C. Miller of Mayport; and four grandchildren, Julie James,Joshua James, Christy James and Elizabeth James.
Also surviving are her mother-in-law, Pauline James of Rimersburg; and a sister-in-law, Cathie Miller.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a brother, Harold M. Miller Sr.; and her father-in-law, Arthur I. James.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with Pastor Gary Guntrum of the Carwick Wesleyan Methodist Church
officiating.
Interment will be in Mount Zion Cemetery, Mahoning Township, Armstrong
County.
