Mrs. Cook was a graduate of Western Kentucky University. She was a teacher at the Bowling Green Business College, a substitute teacher for the Warren County School System and was a member of Lewis Chapel United Methodist Church.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 am, Thursday, January 7, 2010 at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home with burial in the Lewis Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday and from 9:00 am until service time on Thursday at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home.
Survivors include her husband, James Cook of Bowling Green; one son, James Earl Cook of Bowling Green; two daughters, Toresea Dunaway and her partner, Rick O'Brien of Rhode Island and D'Esta Darlene Booth and her husband, Harold of Hanover, Ohio; three brothers, Owen Grunden (Ruth) of Marengo, Indiana, Philip Grunden (Clara) of Lebanon, Illinois, and Victor Grunden of Evansville, Indiana; four sisters, Oneida Grunden of Coryden Indiana, Thelma Wright of Dallas, Georgia, Imogene Borden (Don) of Huntingburg, Indiana and Wilma McCalla of Milltown, Indiana; one grandchild, Jerry Wayne Squires, II; several nieces and nephews.
**update** Sadly, my mom's beloved sister and my aunt Oneida passed away on September 2, 2011, exactly 45 years to the day that their father, Earl, my beloved grandfather passed away.
