A daughter of the late Clair H. and Barbara A. (Tosh) Jacox, she was born May 25, 1965, in Brookville.
She was a 1983 graduate of Redbank Valley High School, a cum laude grad of Indiana University of Pennsyvania with a batchelor's degree in finance and obtained her Juris Doctorate at Duquense University.
Miss Jacox was an underwriter analyst for Equicor, a Cigna Company, and Health America. When she finished law school she attained a senior management position with Ernst and Young, LLP and became a senior consultant in the Employee Benefits practice for Solenture Inc. Her last position was as a benefits consultant for Strategic Employee Benefit Services in Pittsburgh, a division of Northwestern Mutual.
She was a member of the Allegheny Bar Association and was of the protestant faith.
Survivors incude three sisters, Mrs. David (Julie A.) McGuire, Rhonda C. Jacox and Mrs. Jeff (Sherry) Taylor; two nephews, Shawn Adams of Colorado and Ian Taylor of Fairmount City; a step-niece, Jeanne Taylor of Maryland; and numerous, nephews, aunt, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father in 1982; her mother, who died from breast cancer in 2004; maternal grandparents James and Catherine Tosh; and paternal grandparents Irvin and Izie Jacox.
Entombment was in New Bethlehem Cemetery.
