ADCOX SERVICES HELD TUESDAY AT FIRST METHODIST CHURCH

Funeral Services were held in the First Methodist Church of Perryton, Tuesday afternoon for Mrs. Grady L. ADCOX of Amarillo, who died in an Amarillo hospital on Saturday, August 17.

She was the former Edith JOHNSON, daughter of Mrs. Texie Ann JOHNSON, who grew up in Perryton and graduated from Perryton high school in 1941. She and her family had lived in Amarillo for a number of years where Mr. ADCOX is office manager at the Excell Helium Plant.

Rev. S. M. Dunnam, former Perryton pastor now at Dumas, conducted the final rites. Pallbearers were W. C. PICKETT, E. E. BLACK, M. R. DORMAN, V. W. McINTIRE, O. L. McCRAW and E. F. CARPENTER. Burial was made in the Ochiltree Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, a daughter, Edith Carol, 10 and a son, Gregory Lynn, 2; her mother, Mrs. Texie Ann JOHNSON of Perryton; three sisters, Mrs. Inez WOODS of Perryton, Mrs. Velma STONE of Fresno, California, Mrs. Eloise HANOVER of Boise, Idaho; four brothers, Tom JOHNSON of Portales, New Mexico, Ben JOHNSON of Booker and Walter JOHNSON of Austin.

Mrs. ADCOX was a member of the First Methodist Church, Dumas.

Out-of-town friends and relatives attending the services included Mrs. Irene ADCOX, Mr. and Mrs. ROLAND ADCOX of Walters, Oklahoma, Mrs. Ollie VAUGHT, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest BLACK of Amarillo; Mr. and Mrs. Ernest FERGUSON of Levelland; Pvt. Benny EASTER, Camp Gordon, Georgia, Frances WILLIAMS, North Hollywood, California, Wayne STONE, Fresno, California, Wayne STONE, Fresno, California, and a host of friends from the Exell Helium Plant.
