Walter Eaken Quig, 55, died at his residence on Katherine St. at 2 o'clock yesterday morning. He is survived by his widow, one sister, Mrs. Katherine Z. Youngling of Allegheney City, PA. Mr. Quig has lived in Fort Myers for 15 years. Funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock this morning at the graveside with the Rev. F. A. Shore officiating. Pallbearers include Harold Moreland, J. E. Brecht, J. S. Strickland, Herbert Hastings, J. C. McDonald and William R. Anderson. Interment will take place at the Fort Myers Cemetery. Members of the Royal Neighbors, of which Mr. Quig was a member, are asked to meet in a body at the cemetery. Lawrence A. Powell is in charge of funeral arrangements. (Fort Myers News-Press, 10/27/34)
