Mary Catherine Worlein, daughter of Clarinda and Alexander Russnogle, was born at Bee, Neb. Feb. 14, 1876, and passed away in Fairbury, Jan. 8, 1953, having obtained the age of 76 years, 10 months and 25 days. She spent her childhood days in the vicinity of her birth. Early in her life she was baptized and united with the Methodist church.
On Dec. 21, 1893, she was united in marriage to William Worlein at Lincoln. The earlier part of their married life was spent in Kansas and Nebraska and finally in Jefferson County, where she has lived for the last 40 years. To this union were born 14 children. Two daughters and one son, together with her husband, precedes her in death.
Those who survive her are seven daughters and four sons: Mrs. Alice Kiser and Mrs. Delia Lacy of Fairbury, Mrs. Mattie Kent and Mrs. Lizzie Vaith of Grand Island, Mrs. Margaret Rusk of Plattsmouth, Mrs. Mary Cecil of Lincoln and Mrs. Alberta Ross of Springfield, Ore., Laurence of Richmond, Cal., Fred and Joe of Clinton, Ia., Walter of Grand Island. Also 37 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, one brother, Ray of Hastings, besides other relative and many friends.
Funeral services were held Jan 12.
