Louis H. Tiede, 70, a lifetime resident of Gifford, was pronounced dead on arrival at St. Joseph's Hospital, Lewiston, yesterday at 4:30 P.M.. He had suffered a heart attack while visiting at Clarkston. He farmed at Gifford all his working life on a farm which had been homesteaded by his father. He was born at the farm Feb. 19, 1899, the son of Herman and Bertha Tiede. He married Justine Dammann at Gifford Dec 25, 1927. She died Oct 1 1958. He was a member of the Lutheran Church. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Marvin (Laura) Jackson, Clarkston, and sons Claude Tiede, Clarkston; Earl Tiede, Gifford, and Glenn Tiede, Lewiston, and 11 grandchildren. Funeral arrangement are pending at Malcon's Brower-Wann Funeral Home.
