Billy R. Woodcox, 56, passed away Monday, February 18, 2008, at Hendrick Medical Center. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Abilene Funeral Home Chapel of Hope, 3349 N. 12th Street. Burial will follow in Oplin Cemetery, directed by Abilene Funeral Home. Mr. Woodcox was born October 17, 1951, in Brownwood, Texas. Survivors include his mother, Bonnie Roberts of Abilene; two brothers, Joe L. Woodcox and wife, Sandra of Odessa and J.W. Woodcox and wife, Virginia of Fort Worth; two half brothers, Herman Hughes and wife Debbie of Abilene and Carl Hughes of Abilene; a sister, Bonnie Hollis and husband, James of Tye. Mr. Woodcox was preceded in death by his father, Joe Woodcox and two sisters and two brothers.
