An Obituary from "Gatesville Messenger & Star Forum," Friday, January 20, 1961:

Clarence Wenger, 62, of Gatesville died Wednesday in the local hospital. He was a civilian employee at Fort Hood, and had lived here the last 2 1/2 years.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Friday at Scott's Chapel. Rev. G. L. Derrick will conduct the rites, and burial will be in Restland Cemetery.
Mr. Wenger is survived by three sons, Clifton Earl Wenger and John Edward Wenger of Indiana, and Carl Leroy Wenger, with the U. S. Air Force in Germany; three daughters, Mrs. Barbara Joann Burbridge of El Segundo, Calif., Mrs. Marion Carroll Flowers of Rt. 3, Gatesville, and Miss Lois Ann Wenger of Gatesville; two brothers, Jacob Wenger and Noah Wenger of Indiana; and 15 grandchildren.
