Mary Ellen (Thomson) Shank was the daughter of James and Helen (Atkin) Thomson. She was the 1st wife of Rev. John Milton Shank. They were married Dansville, Michigan September 18, 1878. Rev. Shank was a minister in the Detroit Conference/East Maine Conference and Genesee Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church. He died October 9, 1931.
