Pioneer Woman Died Last Eve

Mrs. Mary Rector Brown, 55, wife of J.G. Brown, died yesterday afternoon at the family home. 821 South Thirteenth Street, at 6:30 o'clock, after an illness of one week of pneumonia.

Funeral services for Mrs. Brown are being held this afternoon at the First Methodist Church at 3:30 o'clock, with the pastor, Rev. Orion Carter, conducting the services, assisted by Dr. John MacMillan, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church. Interment at Fairview Cemetery with King Mortuary in ??rge.

Pallbearers are Bill D. Hart, A. Moore, J.M. Ferrell, Roy R. ??brie; Carl Jones of Estelline, ?? Herman Horschler of Hedley. Those in charge of the flowers will be members of Mrs. Brown's Sunday School Class.

A native Texan, the deceased was born July 16, 1880 at Graham, Young County. She was married to J.G. Brown at Decatur in the year 1898. She moved with her family to Memphis 27 years ago.

Besides her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Leta Mae Brown, this city; one son, Tom Brown; her mother, Mrs. Mary Fields, who was making her home with Mrs. Brown; one sister, Mrs. Margaret Francher, Seymour; three brothers, John Rector and T.F. Fields, Detroit, Mich.; B. Fields, Washington, D.C.

Relatives and friends here are Mrs. Margaret Francher and son, Rector Carpenter, Seymour; Dr. and Mrs. J..J. Dodson, Vernon; Mrs. M.E. Pickel, Pampa; Mr. and Mrs. John M. Bass and children, Rosalyn and John M. Bass, Clarendon.
