Pioneer Succumbs As Result of Fall
Brigham City, Sept. 6--Christena Anderson Hansen died this morning at her home, 240 North First East street, as a result of a fall two months ago when she fractured an arm an a leg.

Born in Denmark, October 11, 1860, the daughter of Andrew and Marion Neilsen Anderson, she came to Brigham City in 1868.

Mrs. Hansen married Erastus P. Hansen, who preceded her in death, in the Salt Lake endowment house November 4, 1876. She served as president of the Y.L.M.I.A. of the Brigham City Fourth ward for 20 years.

Surviving are six children as follows: Meda Hansen. Haws, Callie Hansen Larsen, Edith Isora Hansen Jensen, Ernest E. Hansen and Lawrence A. Hansen, all of Brigham City, and Anna K. Batestas of Ogden, in addition to 30 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Four brothers and sisters, Annie A. Jensen, Brigham City; Sophie Killion of Shelley, Idaho; James Anderson of Deer Lodge, Mont., and Andrew Anderson of Richfield, also survive.

Christena also had a daughter, Celesta Hansen Valberg, who passed away prior to her mother's death. Celesta was born 9th of March 1886 in Brigham City, Utah and died on 25th of May 1922, Brigham City, Utah.
