Barbara L. Tudor, age 81, passed from this life to be with the Lord on December 24, 2009 at St. Bernardine Hospital while surrounded by her loving family. She had suffered an acute stroke just two days before. She resided at 5645 Sycamore Avenue in Rialto, Califronia at the time of her death.


Barbara was born June 2, 1928 in Arkansas, and moved to California, where she was a resident of Rialto for sixty-nine years.


She will be remembered and greatly missed as a loving mother, sister, dear friend, and active participant in her church and many Rialto organizations.


Barbara is survived by her sister, Greta Hodges; her two daughters, Yvonne Tudor Pritchard and Marilyn Tudor Bleak, their husbands, John Pritchard and Mark Bleak; her granddaughter, Melissa Bleak; step-grandson, Scott Holmes; and his children, Antonio, Gabriel, and Gemma.


Barbara was a member of Calvary Chapel of Rialto. She helped found the Friends of the Rialto Police K-9's and served as the first Vice Chairman, Secretary, and membership director of the organization. For many yea rs, she also served on the board of directors and as membership director for the Rialto Historical Society. She was a member of the Rialto Black History Committee.


A visitation will be held on Monday, January 4, 2010 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Montecito Memorial Park in Colton.
The Funeral Services will be held at Calvary Church of Rialto on Tuesday, January 5, 2010.
