OBITUARY - Plummer Funeral Home -- Leona Mae Ogden, 86, of Litchfield, passed away on Fri., Jan. 15, 2016 at 8:47 a.m. in Heritage Health Therapy & Senior Care in Litchfield. She was born on Feb. 12, 1929 in Oshkosh, WI, a daughter of Roy & Ora (Atchison) Craddock. Leona was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield. She worked as a key punch operator at Country Mutual Auto Insurance in Bloomington and at Echlin Manufacturing in Litchfield for several years.
She married Bernard Floyd Ogden on Jan. 7, 1971. He preceded her in death on Nov. 2, 2003. Mrs. Ogden enjoyed Cooking and baking and preparing for family events and was generous with gifts to all of her nieces and nephews.
She is survived by 9 nephews: Joe (Fran) Ogden, Steve (Wendy) Ogden, Doug (Johni) Ogden, Eric (companion, Lisa), Gary (companion, Fran), Jim (Becky) Tarter, John (Valerie) Tarter, Michael (Debbie) Garling, Allan Garling of Texas; 7 nieces, Jean Ogden, Kathy Ogden, Linda Wanger, Mary Jane Tarter, Gail Corwin, Shelly (Roy) Jenkins, and Donna (Tom) Elmore; several great-nieces & great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; her twin sister, Jewell Garling.
Funeral services will be held Tues., Jan. 19, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. in Plummer Funeral Home. Rev. Fred Kraemer, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield, will officiate. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Cremation will follow the services. Private internment will be in Cedar Ridge Cemetery in Honey Bend at a later date.
The family suggests memorials to the Litchfield Food Pantry.
