Mrs.Rebecca Jane Tohill, 76, 1326 N.Church street, died in the O'Neil nursing home, 430 W. Main street, at 4:10 pm Wednesday following a two week illness of heart trouble.
She was born near Dalton City, April 12, 1861. She was married April 14, 1878 to Noah W. Tohill, who died March 9, 1915.
She leaves one daughter, Mrs.Grace E. Stock, Decatur, a sister, Mrs. Ella Logan, Pana, four sons, Remus Tohill, Casner, Randall Tohill, Villa Grove, Floyd and Otto Tohill, Decatur and 20 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren, five children preceded her in death.
She made her home in Dalton City and vicinity until 12 years ago when she came to Decatur.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 1 pm by Rev.L.A. Whitsell in the First United Brethren church. Friends may call at the Tohill home, 1326 N. Church street, after 5 pm Thursday. Burial will be in Long Creek cemetery.
