David Lee "Big Foot" Akkerman, age 47, of Wyoming, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 29, 2009. He was preceded in death by his father, Tony Akkerman. His memory will be cherished by his wife, Kelly (Metternick) Akkerman; his children, Kristine Akkerman and Kevin Crow, Scott and Amanda Akkerman, Anthony "AJ" Akkerman, Tayler Akkerman; four grandchildren; mother, Joyce Akkerman; sister, Ronda and Doug Bolle; parents-in-law, Steve and Barb Metternick; sisters-in-law, Stephanie and Ron French, Carrie Johnson, Dawn and Shaun Parker; many extended family and friends. David was a member of Knapp Street Reformed Church. His hobbies included darts, bowling and golf.
