She lived in Batesburg, and was a member of the Ridge Spring Baptist Church and Sunday School. She was a teacher for 10 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Julian Padgett, her parents, Perry Black & Lilla Parrish Black, and brother, Jeff Black.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Perry & Kristi Padget of Florida; daughter and son-in-law, Mary & O.T. Price, Jr. of Ridge Spring; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Interment followed funeral services conducted at the Ridge Spring Baptist Church in Ridge Spring, Saturday, November 8, 2008; Rev. Chris Yeargin presided.
