Walter Legenbauer passed away at Washoe Medical Center at the age of 71. He was born to Joseph and Ethel M. Ives Legenbauer. He had lived in Susanville since 1946. Walter had worked for Lassen Electrical from 1950 to 1992 and at Sierra Army Deport at Herlong, CA from 1946 to 1983. He was a member of the National Guard, B.P.O. Elks Lodge, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Baptist church. He served in the Navy from 1943 to 1947. He is survived by his wife, Marleen and stepdaughter, Toni Poulsen, both of Susanville; son, Barry of Reno; daughter, Maureen Zunino of Elko, NV; stepdaughter, Rieta Ebberts-Ardmore of Oklahoma; stepson, Dan Kellenbeck of El Cerrito, Ca; sister, Ellen Dezembro of New York; 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
