Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10 a.m. in St. Andrew Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. James Stamborski will officiate and burial will be in Kiel Cemetery at Kiel.
Mrs. Elfner, nee Sophia Rosso, was born Dec. 3, 1895, in Newton, daughter of the late William and Maria Awe Rosso. She was married to Christ Koeser Dec. 27, 1913 in the Town of Newton. He preceded her in death July 27, 1940. She was married to Edward J. Elfner Sr. April 27, 1946, in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death Feb. 28, 1974. Mrs. Elfner was a member of St. Andrew Women's Council.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Raymond (Arline) Neumann of Glenbeulah; four step-sons, George V. of Milwaukee, Edward A. of Rt. 1, Manitowoc, Lloyd F. of Florida and Robert W. of North Carolina; a step-daughter, Mrs. John (Kathryn) Kalusky of Iowa; a sister, Mrs. Cornelius (Hulda) Hutchinson of Manitowoc, 18 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Two brothers and two sisters preceded
her in death.
Friends may call in Pfeffer Funeral Home 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, where a prayer service will be 8:15 p.m. by St. Andrew Women's Council, relatives and friends.
