Mrs. Jerry Spicer died at the home of her daughter. Mrs. Parish, south of Climax last week Thursday, at the age of 65 years, 4 months and 6 days. The funeral was held Sunday at the M.E. church. Rev. J. H. Emmons officiating. Interment in the Baptist cemetery. Climax Crescent Oct 20 1904

Jane Spicer, widow of Jerry Spicer, died Friday morning, October 14, of paralysis, at her home three miles southeast of Climax. One sister, Mrs. Reese Stratton of Plainwell, and one brother, Abe Rickey, of Denver, Col. survive her. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at the M.E. Church, Rev. Emmons officiating, with interment in the Baptist cemetery.

Daughter Of Louis Rickey/ Reky and Martha Ann Haid. Married Jeremiah Spicer August 5, 1857 in Climax, Kalamazoo, Michigan. They never had children of their own but were foster parents to Sarah Marie Stratton, the step daughter of Celia Jane's sister Mary.
