Arthur Sever Kennedy was the second child born to Samuel Robert and Marthena Phenly Trammell Kennedy.

During his life, Arthur was married five times.
His first wife was Nancy "Unknown" with whom he had no children.

His second wife was Bertha M. Carter. He and Bertha M Carter Kennedy had seven children, five children survived to adulthood. These being Daisy Blanche Kennedy Rogers, Troy Jackson Kennedy, Frances Marie Kennedy Vess, and Elmer Leroy Kennedy. Bertha M. Carter died in approximately 1918; most probably Sequoyah County Oklahoma. I and other descendents have searched and searched, but have yet to find a death record for Bertha M. Carter Kennedy; or for a link to her family. Bertha M. Carter was born in Missouri in approximately 1891...and only this little bit that we know is due to the 1910 census.

His third wife was Pearl Rebecca Meek. Arthur and Pearl Kennedy had two children, Anna Mae Kennedy Loftis and Orvil Leo Kennedy. Arthur and Pearl divorced in 1926.

His fourth wife was Ruth Mae Meek (a younger sister to his third wife Pearl Rebecca Meek). Arthur and Ruth Mae Kennedy had one child a daughter, Helen Jewel Kennedy. Ruth Mae died during or immediately after the birth of Helen Jewel Kennedy. Helen Jewell lived for five months.

His fifth wife was Ruby Ann Meek (a younger sister to his third wife Pearl Rebecca Meek, and twin sister of his fourth wife Ruth Mae Meek). Arthur and Ruby had 10 children, 8 surviving infancy. There children surviving infancy were: Jessie Marie "Jackie" Kennedy Connor, U.D. Kennedy, Buford Eugene Kennedy, Billy Ray Kennedy, Vernon Lee Kennedy,(Living), Judy Carlida Kennedy Mendoza and Virginia Rosalee Kennedy Purdy.
