Funeral services for Marshall Joseph Robertson Sr., 76, of Nolanville were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Scott's Funeral Home chapel. Rev. James Hill officiated, and burial was in Restland Cemetery.
Mr. Robertson, a former Coryell County resident, died Sunday in a Temple hospital.
He was born Nov, 12,1899, at Coryell City and farmed at Hubbard, Mount Calm and Mound. He married Miss Madie Spence Aug. 13, 1924, and they lived in West Texas for a short time before returning to the Coryell County area. They resided in Waco from 1957 to 1968, when they moved to Nolanville.
Mr. Robertson was a member of the First Baptist Church of Nolanville.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Rex Robertson and Marshall Joseph Robertson Jr., both of Nolanville; two daughters, Mrs. Earl (Bobbie) Hodges of Corpus Christi and Mrs. Jerry (Barbara) Beck of Nolanville; two brothers, Samuel Robertson of Waco and John Robertson of Hillsboro; seven sisters, Mrs. Kate Knight of Barry, Mrs. Veda Hollingsworth of Poolville, Mrs. Gertrude Scott of Brownwood, Mrs. Eva Mae Sibert of Comanche, Mrs. Effie DeArmon of Coleman, Mrs. Claudine Franks of Midland and Mrs. Werdna Williford of Bangs; and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers for Mr. Robertson's funeral were his grandsons and nephews.
