An Obituary from "Gatesville Messenger & Star Forum," Thursday, February 14, 1974:

Wilson Dee Riddle, 67, of Gatesville died Saturday morning in the local hospital. He had entered the hospital 11 days earlier after suffering a severe heart attack.
Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Sunday at Scott's Funeral Home chapel and were conducted by Rev. Joe Broadway, assisted by Rev. G. L. Derrick. Burial was in Restland Cemetery.
Mr. Riddle was born June 19, 1900, at Cave Creek near Turnersville, son of the late Duff and Alice McMinn Riddle.
He married Alma Ione Sheppard Nov. 6, 1926, at Liberty Church near Turnersville.
Mr. Riddle attended school at Cave Creek, Spring Hill and Turnersville. Much of his employment was spent working as a pipe-fitter for construction companies in New Mexico and South Texas. Later he worked at the Gatesville State Schools for Boys for 17 years before-retiring in 1971.
He was a member of the Eastwood Baptist Church of Gatesville and a member of Turnersville Masonic Lodge No. 620.
Mr. Riddle is survived by his wife; two sons, Samuel Duffle Riddle and Kenneth Ray Riddle, both of Gatesville; one brother, J. W. Riddle of Farmington, N. M.; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Arch Riddle, and a sister, Mrs. Bessie Riddle Davis, both in 1964.
Pallbearers for Mr. Riddle's funeral were Earl Blankenship, Don Allison, Herman Hardie, Grady Russell, Chick McCallister and Murvil Gartman.
