Owner of the Jacob Boltz Knitting Mills. As a young man he ran the York Farm brickyard. In 1901 he began the manufacturing of paper boxes, first at 10th and Market Streets. He then built a larger plant at 9th and Grant Streets. In 1913 he opened his knitting mill.
