ROGER D. ABBOTT, 63, of Fort Wayne, died Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2003, at his residence. Born April 29, 2003, in Whitley County, he was a Tool and Dye Model Maker, and U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He was a member of Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, American Legion Post 499 and F.O.E. of New Haven 3164. Surviving are his wife, Diane K.; daughters, Deborah (Steve) Hillman of Fort Wayne, Monica (Larry) Wells of Huntertown; son, Michael Abbots of Fort Wayne; three grandchildren; and brother, Charlie Abbott of San Diego, Calif. Service is 10 a.m. Saturday, with visitation one hour prior, at Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, 7215 St. Joe Road. Visitation is also from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, with Rosary service at 4:30 p.m. and F.O.E. service at 7 p.m. Graveside service by American Legion Post 499 at Highland Park Cemetery. Preferred memorials to Masses or Parkview Home Health & Hospice.
