She was born Sept. 5, 1918 in Jacksonville to Edgar and Mattie Peden Payne. She married William A. Pingle on Feb. 14, 1940 in University City, Mo. He passed away Jan. 24, 2006.
She is survived by one son, Fred Pingle, Bloomington. She was also preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and three sisters.
