Minnie Ellen Wells, age 88, of Omaha, Arkansas, died Monday, December 28, 2009, at Springfield, Missouri.

Mrs. Wells was born on September 29, 1921, at Collinsville, Oklahoma, the daughter of Henry M. and Virgie Arvilla (Hancock) Bell.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe Wells, Jr.; and her two daughters, Carolyn Wells and Janie Wells.

Minnie Wells had lived in Republic, Missouri and Harrison before moving to Omaha. She was a homemaker. She had been a member of the Assembly of God Church in Republic. Minnie loved taking care of her family, gardening, and traveling.

Minnie Ellen Wells is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Charles Duggan, of Omaha; her son and daughter-in-law, William J. and Kay Wells, of Georgia; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and dear friends throughout the community.

Interment is in Summers Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearer is Jerry Don Kelley.
