SYLVIA - Jerry Dean Miller was born August 12, 1936 in Zenith, Kansas to Joseph Earl Miller and Blanch Calhoun Miller. He graduated from Sylvia High School in 1955 and Hutchinson Community College in 1957. He married Beverly Diane Martin April 5, 1958 in Sylvia, Kansas. Jerry served in the Kansas Air National Guard from 1959-1966. For 40 years he farmed in the Sylvia/Abbyville area and retired in 2001. In 2001, he moved to Trophy Club, Texas and was a member of the White's Chapel United Methodist Church in Southlake, Texas.

He loved to play golf and enjoyed flying.

Survivors: Wife – Beverly, Trophy Club, Texas: Daughter – Heather and Son-in-law Ali Peyrovi, two Grandsons – Harrison and Hunter Peyrovi all of Southlake, Texas. Brothers: Bud Miller, Sylvia and Ron Miller, Hutchinson; Sisters: Pat Parker and Wanda Hofen of Hutchinson; Sister-in-law: Millie Ann Miller of Hutchinson. He had many nieces and nephews.

Jerry was proceeded in death by both his parents, his brother Don I. Miller and sisters Millie Miller Belden Colle and Betty Jo Miller Coons.

The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m., Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at Minnis Chapel, Stafford. Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. December 31, 2009 at Minnis Chapel, Stafford. The family will have a private burial preceding the memorial service at Sylvia Cemetery, Sylvia, Kansas.
