Deceased was born on the North Fork of the John Day river in Oregon on January 4th, 1874, and was consequently in the 34th year of his age at the time of his death. He was married November 2nd, 1898 to Miss Eva Shaw at Long Creek, Oregon, where he and his wife since made their home.
The funeral services were held from the M.E. church on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. F.S. Pearson officiating. The services at the church and at the grave side were under the auspices of the Masonic lodge. The interment was made at the Washington Lawn cemetery.
Deceased leaves, besides his parents, a wife, two sons. Harold and Harland, two brothers, Ross and Troy, and three sisters, Mrs. Perry, Mae Kahler, and Beulah Kahler.
