Fayette, Miss., Dec. 12 - Mrs. Joseph Stewart, wife of I. D. Stewart, died yesterday after a brief illness. The deceased was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Whitney and a member of one of the oldest and most respected families of the county. The deceased was a noble Christian lady and imbued with all the noble traits and attributes of southern womanhood. The deceased leaves three sweet, charming little daughters, a devoted husband, an aged father and mother, several brothers and sisters. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. W. Phares, in the Christian church, of which deceased was a prominent member.
