Bill was a graduate of Enid High School class of 1963. He played on the football team for three years. He enjoyed hunting, shooting and fishing as a young man. Bill entered college at the University of Oklahoma then enlisting in the U.S. Air Force serving in Italy, Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines and serving in Vietnam. He returned home in 1972, where he resumed his studies at both OSU and OU graduating in 1975. Bill was a resident doctor and certified dynamite blaster for Billy Bob Mines in Nevada and California until 1980. He returned to his home town of Enid to work in the oil fields. He was an avid collector of guns and old and new bibles. As part of his 27 years as a recovered alcoholic, he participated in helping other alcoholics and drug addicts in their recovery.
He is survived by his mother, Bertha Mygrant of Enid; an aunt, Thelma Harmon of Honolulu, Hawaii; a sister, Shirley and her husband, Claude Powell of Waukomis; a son, Jason Mason Mygrant; a daughter, Lindsay Mygrant of Lake Havasu, Calif.; a niece, Kristi and her husband, Conte Matal and their son, Tyler; nephew, Claude Powell Jr. and wife, Sharon and their two sons, Lucus and Mitchell Powell and nieces serving as his caregiver for many years, Terrylynn Salinas and Kerilynn Steen.
He was preceded in death by his father, William L. Mygrant and grandfather, James A. Mason, both of Enid.
